Hello Christina, never used sodium Silicate but used potassium Silicate. Worked amazingly. can't remember the recipe but I am sure you can find it online. no sense to put it in the mix: spray it over the wall once they're done. Or caseine, instead.

Thank you for posting the cost estimation for these elements, that's very useful
We'd like to know which are the dimension of the elements you listed above so that we can make a proper calculation with the prices you posted: floor tiles wall tiles roofing timber elements 2"x 2"
Also, we are having difficulties in finding a valid alternative to bamboo for inner partitions since bamboo seems to be not easily available locally. Any suggestion (avoiding timber)?
Thanks a lot!

Good afternoon everybody, referring to AK's question: I am looking for standard formwork prices since we are working with rammed earth too. (I am pretty sure I've lost a post somewhere here on the board that can already answer this question. If that's the case, sorry for being repetitive!)
Thank you
Giulia

Thanks a lot for the images We made some online researches before posting the thread on the board, but we wanted to understand if there were specific infos that we might had to consider because of cultural/logistic use of this specific space. I understood from your reply we can "propose" any (reasonable) kind of patio layout and imagine the use will naturally adapt to its conformation. Thanks!

Hello everybody! Can anybody tell us something about the CONTEMPORARY use of courtyard/patio in a single family unit in a periurban area as a township? in case we want to consider a patio in our layout, should we cover it/close it/consider it as a eating area/washing clothes/.. or more like a possible "jolly room" for any need? It's easy to find traditional references of patio houses, but we want to make sure our design fits with contemporary needs!
thanks a lot! giulia
